You won’t want to miss the upcoming WXCY & NBRS Financial Bank concert featuring Show Dog Nashville Recording Artists’ Trailer Choir! Trailer Choir was discovered by Toby Keith and then signed to his record label. The concert will be held on Thursday, July 30th at the Clarion Hotel Ballroom in Aberdeen. Tickets are ONLY $5 with all proceeds being donated to a local food bank, Harford Community Action Agency. You can purchase at the WXCY Studios Monday-Friday up until the show date from 9am to 5pm.

NAB EDUCATION FOUNDATION TO HOST CAREER DAY DURING 2009 NAB RADIO SHOW

WASHINGTON, DC — The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF), in partnership with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) and Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA), will host the 2009 NAB Radio Show Career Day featuring opportunities for careers in the radio broadcast industry. The event will be held on Wednesday, September 23 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

During Career Day, job seekers will meet with recruiters from the broadcast industry to learn about job openings and discuss career opportunities. The event will also feature professional career coaching and counseling sessions that will provide participants with advice on networking, resume writing and career advancement opportunities.

NAB Radio Show attendees are also encouraged to attend the “Speed Mentoring Session” hosted by The Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Group. During these timed sessions, participants will receive valuable one-on-one career advice from the industry’s top leaders on how to best obtain goals and advance in radio.

THE NAB RADIO SHOW AND JACOBS MEDIA PARTNER TO PRESENT THE JACOBS SUMMIT IN PHILADELPHIA

WASHINGTON, DC –- Partnering with Jacobs Media, the National Association of Broadcasters will present the Jacobs Summit at the NAB Radio Show in Philadelphia, September 23-25. The Summit will be held Thursday, September 24th from 1-5 p.m., and will once again present a full schedule of educational sessions for radio broadcasters.
